Rivet nut / nutsert tooling
Suncroft Tool Services are a specialist blind fastener tooling company that supply a selected range of tools for the installation of rivet nuts or nutserts. Repairs and spare parts are normally available for all of the tools we offer.
When
selecting a tool to install the nutsert, the primary factors for
consideration are the power supply. the tool can be powered by air,
battery or a hand tool.
It is important to ensure the tool has the capacity to install the thread diameter of the nutsert being set.
Basic operation - the insert is threaded onto the mandrel of the tool and then placed into a prepared hole, the mandrel then retracts into the tool which collapses the free wall of the nutsert on the blind side onto the parent material. The mandrel then reverses from the threaded insert to complete the installation, leaving an anchored thread.
